Graz has always had two faces: behind the well-tended bourgeois facades in a well-behaved provincial town lived people who were absolutely no angels at all (or is this still true today?). Think about Leopold Ritter von Sacher-Masoch, who makes the “50 shades of grey” look old, or scandalous Archduke Otto and the prostitute Mizzi Kaspar who ensured the throne heir enjoyed life. We might stumble into a Venus cave (or two?) and stroll through “women’s and virgin’s lanes”. A not at all prudish city tour about lust and vices of the Grazers.
The history of sexuality as a chance to take a glimpse of life as it used to be. We hear about things that are not written in history books but still fascinating or even shocking us today. This walk is about hygiene, contraception, prostitution, social status, opportunities, and personal fates. We will hear stories for reflection, nauseating facts, amazing or eye-popping details, and about deeds that make one blush even today.

What is a “free tour”?
The free tours take place on pre-set dates with a minimum of 10 participants. You can decide how much you want to pay! If you like the tour, we will be happy to receive an appropriate tip at the end of the tour.
What is a “young tour”?
Our young tours are customisable thematic tours. The content couldn’t be more different and neither could our guides. But what’s best – our Young Tours may be combined, extended, and altered – please feel free to specify the date, time, meeting point etc.
NB: Unlike our free tours, our young tours are not held free of charge but instead customized to your liking.
