#59 Let the water games begin

Summer in the city is getting hot. While some take refuge in shady pavement cafés, others flock to the outdoor swimming pools and lakes. But there is another way to cool off quickly, free of charge, almost everywhere in the city, creative and entertaining: the water play gardens.
Water games:
1
Volksgarten
At the children's playground in the Volksgarten there are pools to dam up and lanes that move water wheels, but in front of the park, in Volksgarten Straße, there are also inconspicuous water features. Because if you jump on the little peaks, a small “water spout” sprays upwards, very amusing.
2
Reininghaus
Near the new tram station in the heart of the Reininghaus district, you will find the coolest water features. Sometimes the water is higher, sometimes very low, sometimes your feet get wet, the next moment you are completely soaked if you don't run away fast enough. Children and adults love it
3
Smart City
In the brand new Nikolaus Harnoncourt Park, small fountains invite you to walk through them. Once the trees have grown and provide shade, the park has great potential to become a summer paradise with its footbridges, hammocks and water features.
4
Mariahilferplatz
The fountain on Mariahilferplatz was deliberately built so that it can disappear into the ground during the many events that take place in the lendviertel. But when there's nothing else going on at Mariahilferplatz, the water gushes out of the fountain, ice-cold and refreshing, and you can walk around as you please until the evening.
5
Liebenau stadium
They haven't been around that long, but they are already considered a cult refreshment in summer, the water games in front of the Liebenau stadium. They are quite generously laid out, the `programme` is varied and you can not only run through them, stand on them, no, many children also ride through the water fountains on scooters and skates.
6
in the oldtown
In the historic city centre, you will also find many drinking fountains and special bowls for fresh water for four-legged friends, as well as fountains that are really fun to play in it, such as at Karmeliterplatz and at the Platz am Eisernen Tor.
